Our goals for Council websites are multi-purpose:

• To create a site that will educate the visitor regarding the Knights of Columbus.


• To provide a means for an interested visitor to learn what it means to be a Knight; the requirements; and who to contact regarding membership.


• To provide information regarding participation by our council, and the Knights as a whole, in annual projects and events.


• To provide links to important sites such as The Holy See; Catholic web sites; Parishes; Pro-Life organizations; other local councils; State and Supreme Councils, etc.


• To provide a calendar of council events AND, in support of our Parishes, post Church activities on our site as well.


• To include scheduled events for Assemblies, Chapters and Districts on our site to encourage participation.


• To provide a means, through the site, for our Grand Knight to communicate to the membership (which also saves money on postage).


• To register a “direct” name (URL) for our council.


• To eliminate offensive pop-up ads, banners, etc. that plague many council sites - some even include pop-ups promoting gay sex and sex with teenage boys and/or girls!


• To provide a spam-free, virus-protected site for our members to communicate in a safe environment.


• To provide a site to post pictures of our “Knights in Action” throughout the communities we serve.

To quote our Supreme Knight:

“Until we take to heart the challenge to realistically offer the benefits of Knights of Columbus membership to every eligible Catholic man, then we are falling short of what the Lord expects of us and what Father McGivney intended in founding our Order”.
