Other benefits we incorporated into our website capabilities are:

  • Internal e-mail for our members with easy-to-remember e-mail addresses i.e. FirstName.LastName@KofC8415.org

  • An easy-to-remember direct URL; many council sites have long difficult names.

  • A dedicated server (with a dedicated back-up server).

Having succeeded in that mission, we are ready to take the next step to “put out into the deep”!

Currently there are over 12,000 councils, yet less than 2,500 have web sites. The percentage of assemblies and chapters with web sites vs. total number is an even greater difference. To realize the gross potential, consider this: There are over 110 million users of the Internet, with a monthly growth of at 10-14%.

Brother Knights, we are NOT taking advantage of a medium to get our message out; grow our membership; educate the public; and support our councils!

To assist our fellow councils, we have created an efficient, economical, easy-to-use web site program that councils, assemblies, chapters and districts may consider utilizing, to “Keep our Order on ‘Front Line’ for Church and Society”.

Through the services of an Internet design firm (Alto.de New Media GmbH, (www.alto.de), we currently offer seven (7) initial, and appealing, design templates (more to follow) that will allow each council to quickly, and easily, “drop in” council-specific content. Registration, licensing, and hosting of the council URL with a “direct” name (council####.org) is included, as is all maintenance and technical aspects of the site. For a sample of active Council websites see:

www.kofc8415.org, www.kofc11529.org and www.kofc2853.org

In short, your council will have a worry-free site, especially for councils with “computer phobia”.
